This plugin enables automatic upgrading to the base skins without the DLC, with the added convenience of a chat command for easy toggling of the feature.

🚨 Important Warning – August 2025

Facepunch no longer permits server owners to give players DLC items or skins for free. Doing so may result in your server being blacklisted.

Only players who have purchased the DLC can use its associated skins.
This plugin includes a config option to enforce DLC ownership.

⚠️ Disabling this option will allow all players to use the skins without the DLC, but this should only be used on test servers.
Using it on a live server risks blacklisting by Facepunch.

Automatically upgrades to the adobe, brick, brutalist, jungle, crypt, frontier, gingerbread, shipping crate, and space station base skins without requiring the DLC.
Automatically adds wallpapers with the skin selected by the user. Optionally requires configurable resources per wallpaper. Both vanilla and/or steamworkshop wallpaper skins are supported!
Users can toggle this functionality with a chat command.
New building skins will be added as they are released.

Vanilla Wallpapers Enabled:

(Required) Image Library
(Optional) Base Utility – With base utility installed players can use the [SKIN] button to change base skins from within the TC. Making skinned base auto-upgrades smoother and easy to use.

MISC Enabled the gingerbread skin as it seems to be usable without crashing players. Make sure to update your server beforehand.
ADD Added a config option to ignore skins just in case. If you notice the gingerbread skin is acting up please notify me and add it to your config like so: "Ignored skins": [ "gingerbread" ],

Love offering this feature to my VIP/VIP+ players within my PVE server. Just like Skinbox, it’s nice to offer something similar to this within the server, especially when some players don’t have the funds to buy the DLC for building skins just yet!

Works awesome, any chance you can add a command to “/bskin all”? I use AutoBaseUpgrade plugin and it doesn’t upgrade the preset skin just the default stone. Or maybe allow hammer hit to change skin on the building.
